What can you do between 10:00 and Midnight . . .

I sew.  I will not let myself sew during beautiful sunshiny days when there is work to do outside (which I love).  So I've been sewing at night, because I love to sew!

Made this bag.  Love the fabric.  Did I ever tell you I am a sucker for fabric?  I have LOTS of fat quarters.  And I keep accumulating them.  I can't help myself.  I really must enter fabric-aholic therapy soon!

This is the inside.  Pockets full of cute little birdies.

These bags are so comfortable to use.  I HATE carrying a purse.  Hurts my shoulder but this one, not so much.

The lining for this one is the same fabric as the flower.

This bag is very roomy.  Perfect for all the necessities of junking!

Again, lots of pockets.  (Bad photo, bad, bad!)

I would love to sell my bags somewhere.  I have sold a few of the other styles of bags I have made but I can't make myself schlep my wares to local stores.  With everything out there on etsy, do you think I should have an etsy shop of my own?  Does anyone out there reading this know the ins and outs of etsy that could explain it to me?

And, all you sewers out there, where do you find affordable fabric?  Quilt stores are becoming so expensive that it makes it hard to price things sensibly.  I've looked at online shops but I'm a little wary.  What do you do?

Did I ever tell you what the J-Man named his new puppy?  Biscuit.  Yup, Biscuit.  Go figure a 3-year old's mind.  I was voting for Pip.

But she's a cutie.  Naughty, but cute.  And this Grandma seems to be doing an awful lot of babysitting.  I can't stand to see her locked up in a kennel (even if it's really big) during the day so, being the softie that I am, I let her out!  She won't let me garden without jumping on my head and stealing my tools.  Kind of like the J-Man!

Tomorrow is the Hubby and my anniversary so we are going to go play all day!

Hope your week is going splendidly . . .

Connie, your bags are wonderful! As far as Etsy goes--just dive in! There are lots of forum posts to help a new seller. If you decide to go for it, email me if you have any specific questions and I'll see if I can help.

I definitely think you should give Etsy a try! With only $.20 for a listing fee for several months and reasonable selling fees, you don't have much to lose! Great FAQs on the site & not hard to list. I've been selling there since 2006-don't know everything but I am glad to help.

Celebrate Marriage Day! We have ours on the 15th. As for Etsy, it is easy, but a place with LOTS of competition. Why not show them on your blog first and try to sell some?

Oh yeah..........I do remember what I used to do between 10 and 12...........but not any more!!! (:~

Love your fabric bags, Connie! I am a fabric-aholic myself. I've got swatches and samples that I hope to make things with. I went with a blog "boutique" because I am afraid that I'd be paying fees and not selling anything.

Thanks for following my blog and entering the giveaway! Good luck!

Your bags are adorable! Yes, jump into Etsy! I'm still trying to get my Etsy site to be productive, but it sounds like if you can get started doing it right you can do well. It's really cheap to do compared to ebay and you set your own price, which makes it so nice.

I just started selling sewn bags last fall & am loving it! I've had a little fabric addiction for most of my life. It's my mother's fault, I"m sure. My MIL hasn't helped. She is stopping her habit & just let me dig through her fabric stashes. Naughty.

Hope all goes well with these bags!

Connie,
These are beautiful!!! AND YES, you should try to sell them on Etsy. I have never sold on Etsy, only purchased so I don't know the ins and outs of selling. But your fabric choices/eye for coordinating is wonderful! As for fabrics, do you have a JoAnn's near you? They often run great sales on all their fabrics. And I've got a heads up on that Lab puppy for you...our Lab is 18 mos. old and still has sooooooooo much puppy left in her! We keep waiting for her to lose some of her energy...ha! xo Sue

Oh, I'd buy the seond or third bag from you! I need a new summer bag. My BFF and I have an etsy store, it's super easy to do. There are times it's best to list your items for more views, like weekends. The drawback is the when someone does a search, the most recently listed items come first, so you may have to "bump" your item by re-listing for an additional .20 cents per item. But, once you do that, you can add a widget to the side of your blog to direct readers to your goods. Try other sites too. We have shop over at Lollishops too- go check them out. I'd get an inventory up and hit some local shops too- your stuff is great!! Make sure you get a busisness card done, and attach to your bags. You can print them at home. God luck!

Connie, Your bags are adorable and I think you should give Etsy a try. I believe they will sell very well. I can barely sew a button on so I am no help with locating fabric. Best of luck to you.

Connie- your bags are beautiful. They are so desirable and would definately sell in an etsy shop. However if you are intimidated by that just show the ones for sale on your blog and give your email so that people can contact you. That is how I sell my nests and I can't keep up!
They are so lovely- they will sell for sure!

Thank you for posting my nest give away on your blog. You are a dear to do so! Wonderful to hear from you again!

I was blog hopping & found you (not sure where) but, I LOVE your bags. Yes, I think you should do an Etsy shop. I am thinking of doing one too. I would love to have a bag. How much do you charge? And what if I provide the fabric (I have some I really like). And Biscut is an adorable name. Charlene
