Did you notice?

Did you notice that I haven't posted since the beginning of October?  Did you notice that I haven't been leaving YOU comments?  Did you notice that there are no new giveaway alerts on my sidebar?  Did you notice?  Do you notice when a blogger isn't posting and didn't tell you in advance that she was going to be gone for awhile?

Well, I'm back and it wasn't because I was off traveling the world, or getting together with my gal pals, or schlepping my goodies to shows far and wide, or lost in the creative process, or tearing my hair out over overcommittments, or setting up a new business, or . . .  (I could go on and on about the things I wasn't doing).  Just plain ole sick girlies and then a major case of the blogger blues.  How do you get yourself out of a funk?  Do you make up something - ANYTHING - just to have something to blog about?

No more Debbie Downer moments . . . I'm back to being the Queen of Putting On A Happy Face - no matter what!!

How about some purty pictures?

I'm taking Kim Klassen's Skinny Mini Photoshop free class and she has opened my eyes to that pesky Photoshop program I've had for over 4 years.  Mine is Elements 5 and there is now Elements 9.  Can you say procrastination?  Can you say too dumb to figure the program out, even after a class and a Photoshop for Dummies book?  Can you say - Yeah for Connie - she can create some wicked layers now!!!

These are my photos . . .

Love the lack of saturation and that grungy look!

These are class photos but I did them myself . . .

I think I've found a new way to waste time!  Thanks for looking!

Oh, and for those lovely bloggers who wished me well on the last post, THANK YOU!  Your comments lifted my spirits as I lay on my deathbed (TOTAL EXAGGERATION on the deathbed thing).

I'm off to watch the Real Housewives of Atlanta (oh, did I say that outloud?  Please don't think less of me cuz I watch this trashy show!  I hated the DC housewives and refuse to watch the Beverly Hills housewives so I do still have a few redeeming qualities!)

Love ya all . . .

Hi Connie! I'm sorry that your weren't feeling well. I have been HORRIBLE about reading blogs since last Spring!!! Oy! Would it also make you feel better to know that my photoshop is from the early 90's?

I thought it would. Your pictures look lovely!

Enjoy the rest of your week!

Yeah for Connie! Someday I'll get educated myself. My dirty little secret is HW of NJ, when I remember to watch. Glad you're getting back in the swing of things.

Connie, you are so funny, yes I missed you, I know first hand about those nasty blogging blues.... but I am happy you are back and with such great news!!! I love Kim's classes but I just can't seem to do anything with my Mac....I think I am dumber than dumb when it comes to photoshop....I just can't figure it out! Your photos look gorgeous though, wow, I am so impressed!!! Good for you, they are really well done!

Sorry to hear you haven't been feeling well, glad your back... I do get the blogger blues sometimes too, I guess it's just normal. I love the picture you have shown today. I would love to take a photoshop class, but have heard that it's pretty hard, so I haven't even attempted to take it, maybe one of these days I will get brave enough to at lease try it!!! Hope you have a wonderful week.. and welcome back to the land of blogging!!! hugs~~~ Daphne

I did miss you! And I did wonder what was going on! I guess I did think you were traveling the world with gal pals or something like that. (It seems there is a rather large number of bloggers who are fortunate enough to lead a somewhat fabulous lifestyle.) Sorry to hear about sick girlies and blogger blues. I'm guessing the girls are better. As for blogger blues, here's my philosophy. I started doing this because it was fun. If I begin to feel pressure, or like it's a chore, or that I have too many other things to tend to, or that it's plain old not fun, then it's time for a break. And I suppose that's your philosophy too-that's what you did! There isn't a single thing we don't need to take a break from at some time (well ok, chocolate) but other than that, nothing.
So you did what you had to do and now you're back with a fresh, new perspective and that witty, often sarcastic humor and charm that we've come to love.
Welcome back Connie!
Big blogger hugs and kisses to you,
JoAnne

Yes, I did miss you and your posts. I missed your sense of humor. You aren't the only one who can't figure out layers--that's me ahead of you in that line!

When ever I get in a crafting funk, I just make myself make something--not necessarily to blog about--just gets me going again.

Believe me I know the feeling. If I can't find fun, good things to post I tend not to. 'Tis the season right now where I could post eveyday with a "wa, wa" and don't have enough time, enough done comments. The house is a mess etc. etc.
Well, glad you are feeling better! Have fun with photoshop. I'd like to do that sometime... when I have time... see there's the "wa, wa" again!
Better go... many things on the list to do tonight.

Oh Connie,
You make me smile!!! Of all the things your not doing, I can tell you one thing you do do really good!!!You make wonderful & delightful Magical Camera Strap Covers & no one can ever take that away from you. My green & brown polka dotted strap cover is so beautiful, sometimes I take my camera out of the bag just to run my finger through it's ruffle. And for the Housewives of Atlanta...love them. I never watched HW of NY & watching a bunch of rich HW of BH sounds totally boring, but the southern gals always have a good catfight in store for ya. And sittin here in CA tonight, ya want to know what the most exciting thing I'm waiting for is??? Glee is on in exactly 28 minutes, yes I admit it...I'm a Gleek!
So no explanations needed here my friend, I got your back!!! ;)
Hugs & 26 minutes to go,
Susie

Welcome back, Connie! I did notice you were absent and figured that old nasty illness in your earlier post was still getting the best of you. Now you've paid your dues and should get a healthy pass for a long time! Loving your pictures! Isn't Kim Klassen the bomb?! Her skinny class is also excellent {like $29}...worth every penny! Her textures are addicting though. But with those two adorable grandbabies of yours, you could get a lot of use out of them! Xo, Sue

Your pictures are awesome! Keep wasting time on PhotoShop. I finally got a new computer - my old one was so old that every time I ran Photoshop it crashed. Now I can play with it. Have a Blessed week.
