Won't you celebrate with me?

It's my birthday.

Well, it was my birthday last week.  On the 7th.
(a little trivia for you ~~ Elvis' birthday is on the 9th so I always say 'thank you, thank you very much' when receiving birthday wishes.  and nobody gets it!  my mom would have.)

At my age (which is very young!  tee hee!), I can't party hardy all in one day anymore so I spread out the celebration all month.

I love to get presents!  I love to win giveaways!

And I know (at least I think) you love to win and get presents too!

So won't you celebrate my birthday by entering my giveaway?  Please?  Pretty please?

If the lucky stars choose you (by random generator, of course) you will receive a loooong crocheted-edge linen dresser scarf (which I really want to keep for myself), a teeny tiny flower frog (that is just so stinkin cute) and several vintage valentines (they came from my main man's stash so you know they are really vintage. tee hee again!).

Now, you know I don't like rules but I think I'll require some this time.

1.  Be a follower and wish me a Happy Birthday!  Yup, I think that is an important rule.  I should really require that you promise to leave me at least one other comment during the year to let me know that you still visit me and don't just follow to win but I won't.

2.  For another entry, the dreaded 'add my giveaway to your sidebar' requirement.  I know, I know, it is an extra step and time consuming but I love to see my name on your blogs.  I'm going to bask in the knowledge that I can be somewhat famous for awhile and maybe I'll meet some new bloggers out there (even though I LOVE all of my current bloggy friends!).

3.  This is an important giveaway rule and imperative to be included to win.  Since the picking has been really terrible around here lately and I'm lost as to what will sell at Miss Maggie's House and what won't, tell me what flies out of your store/shop every time you offer it.  Or if you don't have a store/shop, tell me what you always, always pick out for yourself when you are out and about.  This is worth another giveaway entry.  Or maybe 2!

4.  Do something out of the ordinary for someone else.  It won't get you an automatic win for this giveaway but it will make you and that someone else feel really good about the day.  Sometimes a sweet gesture can be life saving!

Whew!  Those are alot of rules but hey, it's my birthday and I can do what I want!

Let's draw the winner out of the proverbial hat on January 19th, okay?  That will give me 2 days to get the package in the mail before I leave on my beach laying, mai tai drinking, flip flop wearing, zip line screaming, weighing down the para-sailing, swimming with the fishes vacay!

Now, get those fingers walking and shoot me some comments!  You just might be glad you did!

Hi Connie: A Very Happy Birthday to YOU!!! I say as we get a year older and they do add up...we get to celebrate for as long as we want. I like to celebrate the entire year until my next birthday. I am not able to follow your winning rules (I currently am on a borrowed computer and that is for a few minutes only) but I certainly wanted to wish you a big Happy Birthday. Hugs Dear...

Gracious! I am just now seeing this! Well, happy birthday, sweetie! I do hope that you had a wonderful day! I'm sorry that I didn't stop by earlier, but time has been too short for me this week. And a vacation is coming up for you too?! What a way to celebrate!!! And yes, I visit you regularly. Maybe I don't always speak up, but many times I do.

I put a picture link on my blog's sidebar! I hope that it will send some new friends your way! And of course, I would dearly love to win that vintage linen dresser scarf, particularly. What a beautiful edge on it!

I don't have a shop, but I know what catches my eye when I do shop for treasures. I adore anything linen, old hankies, anything milkglass, sewing tools & trinkets, old children'' books. I could go on!

I was able to do a good deed for a stranger the other day. Felt good to do it. Thank you for the gentle reminder. We all need to take the time to do that on a regular basis.

Happy Birthday for the 7th, dear Connie! I am a follower and often comment (if I've got something to say, don't always!). I'll put your giveaway pic on my sidebar forthwith. As for number 4, will this count? - we brought home a sweet puss cat from our local animal rescue centre yesterday - we'll foster her 'til the end of her days. She's got poor liver function, hyperthyroidism and early stages of dementia. You should see the size of her medication box! No one else wanted her, but she is the sweetest girl and she just LOVES cuddles.

Well, I'm so sorry that I missed this the first time. So glad I came over today while sipping my coffee. HAPPY belated BIRTHDAY to you!! I can tell you that when I shop, I'm always looking for holiday items or smalls (paper, books, lace, etc) to use in my creating. Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Just realised I didn't answer point number 3 - what do I buy from a store. Well, I'm on the look out for retro hankies at the moment, preferably brightly coloured ones. Also, always always always any vintage books with picture covers (not on paper sleeves, the actual cover). And, anything that can be altered into something interesting. I'm going to be sharing a vintage/arting stall with a friend at the end of the year so we're both supposed to be making stuff. I haven't started yet.......! :o)

Hi Connie,
Nice to meet you and happy belated birthday! Don't know if I'm too late for your nice giveaway or not, it's not the real reason I'm here! I found your blog via Fiona & Twigs comments (I totally agree with what you said!) and look forward to adding your blog to my sidebar and exploring your blog further......hope you had a great birthday...:).

Sending you very happy belated birthday wishes Connie! Oh how nice that you are sharing your b-day with a give away! I just realised that if I'd win (well I most probably wont) I could get your parcel on my special day! Love the lace table runner and hat sweet tiny flower frog. I searched high and low for wire flower frogs here in Germany on flea markets and antique markets but couldn't find even a tiny one so far. The ones I own I found on etsy and they are from the US and from friendship swaps with sweet US bloggers. Something that you can't find in your own country makes it even more special if your are lucky to get it!
Happy rest of your birthday month wishes you
Carola

I have two etsy shops that have sadly been lacking my attention lately. But vintage tea towels and vintage fabric are big sellers for me. I've been more interesting in sewing lately so my shops are suffering.

I am new at lurking, and don't understand the follower part. Don't have a blog, and do buy from Etsy. Best Wishes and Many Blessings!

Happy Birthday Connie! I would love to win. I'd have to say what sells great for me is anything with birds on it. Then again I have a lot of them and it's kind of my theme. I don't make as much as I should and never seem to have enough time but when I do that usually sells well. Happy to have been able to finally comment...it took me a few tries. I heard the same from some of my commenters. I changed to pop up window and that made the difference.

I am a follower and will be happy to put your giveaway on my sidebar.

xx
