Fruits of my labors . . .

. . . tomatoes are really fruit, right?

From this . . .

. . .to this!

Spaghetti sauce, with meat!  This is my go-to meal.  You know the one.  When nothing is planned, thawed or groceries bought.  We eat this ALOT!  I've made it for years, and each year I tweak it a bit to make it better.

I also made vegetable soup base.  With cabbage, carrots, onions, green peppers, celery.  Just the basics that I don't always have on hand.  All I have to do is add meat and potatoes.  I'm all for easy when it comes to cooking.  Me no like cooking much!  My main man is the chef of the family.  And don't even get me started about shopping for groceries!

Hope your weekend meal plans includes something yummy!

Yum Yum! I used to make tomato sauce too, many years ago. I miss it so!
Our poor tomatoes did nothing this year, we got such a late start with all our freezing weather they still haven't produced. not even one tomato :0(

Looks yummy! The closest I get is making a huge batch of gravy (pasta sauce?)& freezing containers to use about once a week!

Stop by Monday..I scheduled a post to show off my new bag!

I just picked a bunch of tomatoes from my plants and will be doing the same thing! Nothing like fresh tomatoes for your spaghetti sauce. :) So glad you entered my giveaway.

Awesome. I'm not to this point yet, but over the next year or so, we'd like to have a big garden. Our tomoatoes are JUST turning red, but they taste so amazing!! Good to see your blog. My hard drived is being fixed, and I'm missing all of my favorite links!!

That looks so good! There is nothing like the taste of fresh tomatoes in the middle of winter...and your own canned ones do taste different! What a great go to meal. I'll bet everyone is pretty happy!

P.S. My husband is the main chef here. I consider myself very, very lucky!!! Handyman, no!

These look delicious
and of course, they
will look delightful,
as well, gracing your
{what I'm sure is adorable}
pantry!!! I've canned
quite a few things in my
day, but haven't done anything
with tomatoes. This is
inspiring me : )
